Intro to Bethany Beach

Bethany Beach, the Quiet Resort Town

Do you want to retire to the beaches of Delaware, with beach resort amenities, but less of the “tourist trap” feel?  If so, Bethany Beach could be the place for you.  Known as one of  “The Quiet Resort” towns of Sussex County, Bethany Beach offers a slower pace and simple life for those who live there year round.  Here at finddelawarehomes  we can help you find the perfect home in Bethany Beach to suite your retirement needs.

Williams.BethanyBeachBethany Beach has small town appeal with a slower pace of life, yet all the modern amenities you would want, in particular its own Police Department, an all-volunteer Fire Department and the Beach Patrol, keep the safety of its residents and visitors a high priority.  The police presence is kept visible with five patrol cars and nine full time officers, increasing to 15 or more during the summer tourist months.  The fire station not only has two engines, and a rescue pumper, it also an aerial unit, and a brush truck, helping to ensure fire safety throughout the area it serves.  The Bethany Beach Patrol is a United States Lifesaving Association Advanced Certified Agency with 30 members serving the public beaches from Memorial Day throughout the summer until Labor Day.

There are a number of recreational opportunities at Bethany Beach as well, offering full time residents plenty of space and activities to choose from.  From free public beaches to the Delaware Seashore State Park just north of town, anyone can get back to nature within minutes from their front door.   Golf enthusiasts can enjoy a round at the Salt Pond Golf Club and fisherman and woman have an array of charter services at their beck and call to take you out for some ocean fishing fun.

Bethany Beach is waiting for you to come and live in peace at the beach.  Contact me at (302) 584-2548 or to find your home where you can retire to “The Quiet Resort” life.
