When my husband and I were dating, our time together was never long enough and usually packed full of activities, sight seeing and excursions. I lived in Florida and he lived in Delaware. So for the 2 or 3 days we would share, usually once a month or every other month, it was often a blur. We visited hundreds of restaurants, museums and coffee shops during our special days together – almost too many to remember, except for Victoria’s in Rehoboth. The photo above is from one of my favorite memories at this restaurant just a couple years ago.
There are always a few places that you’ll never forget from your dating days, and Victoria’s near the boardwalk is one of them. We visited around Christmas time, which is now just around the corner. I’ll never forget the beautiful scene that met us upon entering through the front door. Christmas colors and the warmth of heavy, richly furnished pieces flooded the stunning foyer, where a fireplace, lounge area, garland, Christmas trees and manger scene stood to remind everyone of how happy the holidays could feel.
Located in the Boardwalk Plaza Hotel, Victoria’s is a fine dining establishment. Its unique three-tiered dining room even has a gorgeous view of the Atlantic, just in case the stunning and rich décor inside leaves more to be desired. Whether you’re hosting friends and family, or wanting to enjoy the experience of a traditional afternoon tea just for fun, this restaurant will definitely leave you with fond memories. Afternoon teas are Monday though Saturday from 3-5pm. Scones, sweets and fruit accommodate your selections ranging from Apple Cinnamon to Chocolate tea! Reservations for tea are requested 24 hours in advance and run $19.95 per a person.
The Victoria’s Restaurant is open 7 days a week from 7am to 10pm. In addition to their authentic afternoon tea experience, they also serve breakfast, Sunday brunch, lunch and dinner options. For breakfast you might select Traditional Eggs Benedict or a Braised Beef Hash. For lunch they offer many selections including: Chesapeake Blue Catfish Po’Boy, Blackened Salmon Sandwich, Crab Melts, Seafood Kathryn Salads and more. For those wanting to enjoy a date night, dinner is served with impressive entrees such as Crispy Skinned Duck Breast, Filet Mignon, Pan Seared Rack of Lamb or Surf and Turf seafood dishes. Wine, desserts and starters are also available on their online menu. Check it out for yourself by clicking here. This is definitely the right spot for Valentine’s or Anniversary dinners! (Hint, hint fella’s!)
Victoria’s is without a doubt a magically extraordinary establishment meant to charm even the hardest of people to impress. However, don’t just take our word for it! All it takes is Googling her name, and hundreds of reviews from sites such as Trip Advisor and Yelp, contain individuals boasting of their dining experiences at this warmhearted yet sophisticated venue.
Victoria’s is certainly one of Rehoboth’s gems, but in Rehoboth gems are hardly rare. Rehoboth Beach is known for its heart and the many dazzling homes, family events and distinctive shops that it houses. Families, retired couples and more have discovered the joy it is to live in such a place. If you are making the decision to relocate, purchase a second home or retire in Rehoboth, we certainly understand the draw. At Christmas time, it’s almost as if living inside a Thomas Kinkade painting itself. Need we say more? So let us be the agents to assist you in moving to this wonderland!
